What i-subscribe keeps about you and the people on your lists, and why. Updated October 9, 2026.

What i-subscribe is

i-subscribe forwards email: you send to your list's address, and each person on the list gets their own copy. We don't read your messages or open attachments, we don't show ads, and we don't sell or rent anyone's information.

What we keep, and why

  • Your account: your email address, your lists' names, the name you show in invitations, and your settings. We need these to run your lists and sign you in. Your name is what you give us when you sign up or in Settings; if you haven't given one, it's the name your email app puts on your first message to your list.
  • The people on your lists: their email addresses and whether they're invited, subscribed, waiting for approval, or have left. The same for your delegates.
  • Sent mail: for each message, its subject, who sent it, who it went to and whether it was delivered, so you can see what happened. Never the message itself. Kept for 90 days.
  • Messages in transit: a message waits with us only until it's been sent to everyone, and its raw copy is deleted within a week.
  • "No" stays "no": if someone asks never to be invited, declines or leaves a list, or their address bounces or reports spam, we keep a record so they aren't mailed or invited again, even after an account or list is deleted. These records hold a one-way code made from the address, not the address itself.
  • Abuse limits: to limit sign-ups, sign-in emails and join requests, and to make each sign-in link work only once, we keep a one-way code of the requesting network address, and of the email address an email is for, for up to a couple of days.
  • Logs and backups: our systems keep technical logs (which include email addresses) for about a month, and backups for about five weeks, to fix problems and recover from mistakes.
  • How the website is used: to find and fix problems we record how this website is used with a session-recording service: the pages you visit, what's on the screen, what you type and click, the website's requests to our servers and their answers, error messages, and your network address and browser. Other people's email addresses (such as the people on your lists) are hidden on the screen and removed from those requests and answers. Recordings are linked to your account, your email address and your name. Sign-in codes and sign-in links are never recorded.

Who else handles it

We run on a major cloud provider, which stores data encrypted and delivers our email, and we use a session-recording service for the website. They process information only to provide those services to us. We don't share information with anyone else, except if the law requires it.

Your choices

  • On a list: every email has an unsubscribe link, and every invitation can be declined. "Never invite me" stops invitations from every list.
  • Running a list: delete a list, or your whole account, in Settings. It's removed right away from the service, and from logs and backups as they expire.
  • Anything else: to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, email support@i-subscribe.com.

Children

i-subscribe is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly hold information about younger children.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell list owners by email about anything important. Questions: support@i-subscribe.com.
